Dr. Paul Parker received his medical training at Tulane University and McGill University Faculty of Medicine (1993). He earned his Master's of Public Health at the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
Dr. Parker completed his Pediatric Residency and Chief Resident year at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont. He subsequently worked in Morrisville, VT and at University Pediatrics, UVMMC for a number of years. Dr. Parker was medical director at Woodside Juvenile Rehabilitation Center for ten years and is Assistant Clinical Professor with the University of Vermont, Department of Pediatrics.
When he is not working, Dr. Parker enjoys tele-skiing, basketball, playing piano and fiddle, gardening, making maple syrup for friends and family, and shoveling snow from the parking lot early in the morning. He and Heather have five children all of whom are grown and gone, and four grandchildren: three in Alaska and one in Austria!
He works in the office all day Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. He is on call every other weekend.
Dr. Tidman is a lifelong Vermonter, completing both her medical education and residency training at University of Vermont Medical Center. Although she loves taking care of children of all ages, she has a special interest in Newborn Care and Adolescent Medicine. She sees patients on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and takes call on some Sundays.
Dr. Tidman currently resides in Essex with her husband, Graham, and son, Harlan. In her free time, she enjoys running, listening to live music, exploring local swimming holes, and spending time with family.
Dr. Alyssa graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 2008. She specializes in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and is on the Medical Staff at the University Of Vermont Medical Center. She works on Wednesday mornings and Fridays and she takes call on some Saturdays.
Nelly Schottel received her medical degree from the University of Virginia in 2008. She completed her intern year at Johns Hopkins Hospital and then followed her husband to New York City where she completed the final two years of pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She then worked at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx and in Urgent Care in Houston before settling in Vermont seven years ago. She has loved being a part of RPAM.
Nelly and her husband Patrick have four children under the age of ten, who keep them young and very active!
Nelly currently works Fridays and is on call some Saturdays.
Morgan graduated from the University of Vermont in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked at the UVM Medical Center for seven years (five of those years in inpatient pediatrics), before transitioning to working in primary care. She has been working with us since July 2022 - working Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Cindy is an RN with experience working in inpatient pediatric care, home health and school nursing. She works Mondays and Tuesdays.
Ellen was previously one of our front desk staff who was inspired to immerse herself in pediatrics. She went back to school and obtained her nursing degree. She and her husband have three children and are avid mountain bikers. Ellen works Tuesdays, Wednesdays and some Fridays.
Carina is an RN who works Wednesdays and some Fridays with us and also works at UVMMC in infant and pediatric care.
Haley has worked at Richmond Pediatrics as a nurse since 2010, shortly after her graduation from the University of Vermont. She loves nothing more then seeing her long-time patients here and witnessing how much they grow and change over time. She specializes in vaccination spacing/scheduling, as well as general infant care during the first year of life.
Her lifelong passion for maternal-newborn health has also led her to her other career as a doula. She owns her own doula business, Island Doula, LLC, where she focuses on supporting families during the entire perinatal period. To learn more about her and her business, you can visit the Island Doula website. Haley is also the Coordinator of the new Volunteer Labor Doula Program at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Haley grew up in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom and now resides in Grand Isle, VT with her husband, Dustin, and two children, Bryson (2015) and Tenley (2017). For self-care she enjoys listening to audiobooks, camping with her family, traveling to the beach, eating ice cream, and practicing photography.
Haley currently staffs our influenza vaccine clinics and fills in on other days.
Marian is a nurse who primarily works with inpatient children at UVMMC. She works with us some Fridays.
Cheryl is our receptionist on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Jen works in reception on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Heather takes care of all of our accounting needs and processes insurance claims.
Sadie built and maintains this website.

We accept cash, check and virtually all insurance plans. Due to expense we do not accept credit card or debit card payments. By keeping our overhead expenses lower, we are able to devote more time to each of our patients.
If any special arrangements are necessary, please ask to discuss them with Heather, who handles our billing. We do everything we can to work with those encountering difficulty paying their bills. There will be a $50.00 fee for all returned checks.
Co-payments are expected at time of service.
